SO it was our FIRST anniversary this weekend. Wowzers, it seems like we've been together forever, but the marriage thing is TOTALLY DIFFERENT, and in the best way possible. for all you unmarrieds out there you think it won't change things, but OH IT DOES! We are SO blessed to be together and to have been through part of this life together already. Our marriage has made is stronger in SO many ways. We went on dates all weekend, it was REALLY fun and we probably spent too much money, but it was great. We went and saw a movie on Friday night and then went for a drink at the new bar in town "the lil deadwood saloon" it was somebody's birthday there and there was a band and it is still under construction in a really raw way. Like there is just insulation on the walls in a big part of it and the rough cut boards weren't fully nailed in. Aaron was beside himself, it was funny. Saturday we went to Madison for the Farmer's Market which was great, we hung out on State Street, it was like we were Madison tourists all the way. We drove back toward home and stopped in Black Earth for shoes at the biggest independent shoe store I've ever been to. after getting Aaron a new pair of work boots we went toward Spring Green. Spring Green is the home of Taliesin, Frank Lloyd Wright's home as well as House on the Rock. We drove around, it was cool. Lots of architecture in the middle of WI cornfields and hills. We went for dinner to a restaurant that should have been better than it was and then came home and had a fire and camped under the full moon! It was GREAT! The next day we went for a quick kayak on the Kickapoo River, just a short drive away... what a good time. Thank you for all your love and support people you are great. OH! We ate our wedding cake, it came all the way from Vermont and it was DELICIOUS!
Thank you Honey, I love YOU!

Wow Liz and Aaron! What a full weekend. When I think of all the work a farm takes, plus fixing up the house and your jobs I really don't know how you do it. You definately make it look easy! And the peach jam looks delish!
Unreal! You guys are both fantastic and we love you dearly. It's always worth it to spend money that you don't have when you are spending it together, on each other. Can't wait to see you soon.
The floors and the jam look delicious. Somehow your incredible wallpaper becomes more art-like when it sits over a brand new floor instead of a piece of astroturf. Well, less "post-modern" art like and more "just-modern" art like. I know, another great artistic analysis from kid-brother-paul.
much love.
ben sollee, by the way, is a great artist. just plugging him everywhere these days.
I like seeing that your glasses are out and in use! They're SO you! Sounds like you had a sweeeeeet aniversary - here's to many many more.
Missing you tons!
