July ALREADY?!?!?!

All sorts of exciting things happening here on the ridge these days! We had a friend come thru from Washington on his way to Vermont and he and Aaron spent A LOT of time weeding the garden. I am so grateful for that because it looks like we have a garden now... I just wasn't able to get out there and weed... I think I am really pregnant or something. And what does that little ticker say over there? I changed mine so it says how many days to my due date... 14!??!
I gave myself a little bang-up-job and I really like it! Bangs are such an adventure and I credit Jane for giving me the power to trim them myself...
We had an amazing laundry day last weeks where things were dry almost as soon as they were hung! I ran around the house and collected as much laundry as I could! I am pretty sure I did at LEAST 7 loads - if not 10! Nesting? Yas, but it was really about the moments of sunshine and wind! Diapers on the LINE make me HAPPY!!!
When Emelia was here we went to check out a new coop for us. Well, we got it and Aaron isn't SO sure about it, but it'll do us just fine for now. If we need to sell off the chickens and burn the coop, well then we will, but for now we have MANY more birds than before and Jack sure seems happy about it, although our original girls - of which there are only two left - are NOT as pleased as we thought they might be... We'll see how it goes! Any one need any eggs?

I just check MH zoning and it doesn't allow for chickens. Interestingly, there was just a hearing in May about changing zoning code to allow for it. Kind of entertaining to read what council members had to say about it. They said that the ordinance was "very far" from passing.
