family heritage tour

Grandma Linda was in town last week! What a treat. She came for a celebration of her sister Peggy's 80th birthday and we were able to all get together. Aunt Peggy, Aunt Bonnie and all of Peggy's girls came to Viroqua for the long weekend! It was such a treat to see them all and one more on the list of reasons why we live here. It is always nice to see the Holty family, and that they are a big draw for Aunt Bonnie and Linda is great too. Linda was able to spend Thursday night with us and it was really great. On Friday David and I were able to join them for a family heritage tour, It was SO great. We really wished that Aaron could have been there because we have made a few drives trying to find family places, but it has only turned up with guesses. It was great to see these spots - even the ones we were kicked off of... (Not everybody wants to share...) I brought the camera but didn't get great pictures of David and his Grandma... ain't it the way. The Holty girls got some GREAT shots of David though and I really look forward to seeing those. We spent a lot of time in this graveyard because that is a spot where a lot of the family are buried. This house is where Linda's mom was born, and they said it looked the same as it did then... We had to leave the tour early but we are looking forward to doing it again with Aaron soon!
