garden in the morning

The tomatoes are lost... slowly I am uncovering them!
This is what happens when weeks of rain, nursing babies
and a trip to the Great North Woods all come in Late June and Early July.
The garden this year is half the size but somehow we ended up with MORE tomatoes!
How do these things happen?
David keeps pretty mellow for about 45 minutes while I weed! Not bad!

HAsn't the rain been crazy? Our weeds have been horrid. I lost a tomato to wilt yesterday... At least I thought it was wilt, but when I went to pull it up, it had no roots, so I'm beginning to think it was a mole maybe cut-worms.

Ate my first golden cherry tomato yesterday.

Wish I was closer! I would come help you WEED! I have decided that my garden is in too much shade. This time of year the sun doesn't hit it until about 1pm... But I have picked a couple of small Roma tomatoes, and have a bunch more on... Not sure if I will get enough of my own tomatoes to put up, but plan to supplement with farmer's market!
