It was like a little vacation.

Yesterday we went to Iowa. Something special always happens when we go to Iowa, it feels like a little release; which was well needed at the Van Loo house! The day started with a family chiropractic adjustment which we all really needed. At least Aaron and I did, hard to say with David, although he seemed to take it in stride. We got back to the house and put David and BOB in the car and were off! We took the scenic route down to to McGregor, Iowa and Pikes Peak State Park. McGregor and it's sister Marquette are right on the Mississippi and have nice little downtowns that have some really great looking and well kept buildings.
You can really tell that they bustled back in the day.
It seemed that they were a little bustley yesterday!
It was a beautiful day, who wouldn't want to be out and about.
We had a nice mini picnic at the main park outlook and then went for a nice long walk through the ravines in the park.
BOB is our stroller and he did GREAT! (so did Aaron who pushed the whole time)
After that we wandered the streets of McGregor,
and then had an early dinner at a brew pub down there! What a treat.
We even had time to go to Cabelas in PrarieDuChein.
We didn't get anything except sticker shock.
Nothing is on sale there - weird.
David was really good the whole time, until the last 20 minutes of the drive.
He wanted to be home then too.

The Bob rocks. Nothing will stop you. Except for poop. Anyone's poop.
