A visit from Barbie!

I've had quite the week! I made a little visit to the ER on Saturday because of a quick and high fever. It went from 97.7 at 5am to 104.4 at 7:15am!
I've had a challenging go at the breastfeeding thing and this has been the latest manifestation; Mastitis! I've had plugged ducts, cracked nipples, thrush and a mild case of mastitis already, but this really took the cake!
They pumped me full of fluids, one being antibiotics, and made me sit in the little room for many many hours. As did my amazing husband and adorable child! Luckily, I could still nurse David through all the little wires and such. And I did. I even pumped! What a delightful time in the ER!
I still wasn't up to snuff on Sunday, so my mom asked if she could come down and help! We were delighted to say YES!!! In case you didn't know, I affectionately call my mom Barbie. I think she likes it.
So it was a dream to have her here, she's an amazing helper AND she brought cookies from my dad, who makes the BEST oatmeal raisin cookies in the world. I'd like to eat one now. We cooked and cleaned and got a handle on our insane tomato scene, and of course, we hung out with David.
David LOVES his grandma!
He was SO responsive to her, it was really fun to watch. He is changing everyday and is becoming really fun to be around. It was just so great to have someone who could hold him or pick him up when Aaron was at work and I was doing other things. Laundry got done, the floors got vacuumed and the counter got cleared! AMAZING!
Thank you SO VERY MUCH Mom!
I pray that next time you come it won't be for an emergency.
And Many thanks to everybody who prayed for me, I'm on my way!
